Our new training plan for the year is to increase our weekly miles to 300 and closing the week with a 200-mile ride over the weekend. However, we know from experience that our butt is not going to be happy. Or let’s say you get that crazy invitation to ride 1000 miles in 4 stages—again, we know out butt is not going to be happy. We can just see every bump, every pothole, every speed bump sending a piercing stab through our tender perineum. We’ll be longing for an uphill stretch of road or a very steep climb to give us an excuse to get off the saddle. If this is your plan, make your butt happy and install a Cushion-Aid on your saddle. Your butt will thank you.
