ARE YOU WEARING DIAPERS?

are you wearing diapers while triathlon

It seems incredible but true.

Many triathletes wear padding in their shorts during the swim and running leg so they can sit comfortably on the bike saddle or protect themselves against chafing or saddle sores during the bike leg.

However, thin padding grows to feel like wet diapers as you progress on your event. They become uncomfortable, itchy, scratchy, and sticky and even give the feeling of carrying extra weight when you need the most to feel light.

You can now get rid of all padding on your shorts while maintaining comfort during the bike leg and protecting yourself from potential chafing and saddle sores. Replace padding on your shorts with a Tri-SaddlePad-Pro on your saddle.

When you pedal your bike you should keep in mind that there are many factors that could come as a consequence.

For which you would have to carry many implements such as creams, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics among others.

Such as Saddle Sores, cyclist’s disease, nerve entrapment, chafing, and micro-sliding.

Or you can simply install the saddleDonut-Pro, or the trisaddle-Pad Pro on your saddle and avoid those consequences.

Avoid saddle sores and chafing. Designed to add support to the ISCHIUM bones and relieve pressure on the PUBIS bones when in the aero position. This creates a larger, more comfortable contact area that eliminates micro-sliding, anchors our optimal body position, and allows longer times in the aerodynamic position.

• DRIVE MORE POWER TO THE PEDALS: add the support of a larger pelvis area in the aerodynamic position to eliminate power reducing micro-sliding and driving more power to the pedals.

• ADD STABILITY AND ANCHORING TO THE PEDAL CYCLE IN THE AERODYNAMIC POSITION: couple the design characteristics of your favorite tri-saddle to the unique anatomy of your pelvis with our proprietary Power-Lock Technology™.

More performance, less pain

More performance, less pain

The contact mechanics between the butt and the saddle in a bicycle have not changed in 100 years. When you ride a bicycle, the full body weight rests on two small bones (ISCHIUM). If you wonder why riding bicycles can be uncomfortable, here is why. The constant pressure on those two small bones builds tenderness and discomfort during long rides. Furthermore, since you are putting pressure in a small are of the butt, you are limiting circulation in that small area. Limiting circulation has other implications such as leading to painful saddle sores. If riding performance is important to you, saddle pressure and contact in small, narrow area reduces performance due to micro-sliding on the saddle created by the pedal cycle.

Cushion-Aid technologies are designed to increase the contact area and cradle the ISCHIUM bones on the saddle to reduce micro-sliding, prevent saddle sores and provide comfort during long rides.

Avoiding saddle sores is not a matter of position!

Avoiding saddle sores is not a matter of position!

Regardless of the position you seek or the way you get on your bike. Avoiding Saddle Sores will be almost inevitable because the weight of our body rests on a small portion of the body, in the pelvis, called Ischium. The best way is to make this small part rest, proportionally with our butt, on a pad that gives us comfort stability and does not allow us to dislodge the body.

How to avoid Saddle Sores?

How to avoid Saddle Sores?

When we pedal we seek to move fast for a long time and get the best out of our exercise, however, an aerodynamic position requires that we rotate forward the pelvis and rest the full body weight on the pubis belt which creates concentrated saddle pressure and contact in a very small sensitive narrow area of our pelvis.

With the Cushion-aid products, The Tri Saddle Pad Pro and Saddle Donut Pro, Saddle Sores are avoided, as they are designed to add support of the ischium bones and relieve pressure on the pubis bones when in the aero position this creates larger more comfortable contact area that eliminates micro sliding anchors our optimal body position and allows longer times in the aerodynamic position.

Your butt will thank you.

Your butt will thank you.

Our new training plan for the year is to increase our weekly miles to 300 and closing the week with a 200-mile ride over the weekend. However, we know from experience that our butt is not going to be happy.  Or let’s say you get that crazy invitation to ride 1000 miles in 4 stages—again, we know out butt is not going to be happy.  We can just see every bump, every pothole, every speed bump sending a piercing stab through our tender perineum. We’ll be longing for an uphill stretch of road or a very steep climb to give us an excuse to get off the saddle. If this is your plan, make your butt happy and install a Cushion-Aid on your saddle. Your butt will thank you.

Cream will not solve the problem

Cream will not solve the problem

For many of us who suffer from chafing and saddle sores, there is now a clear solution. It is not a cream as a cream will not solve the problem. A cream only adds to the problem as it makes the skin surface slippery, which increases micro-sliding. The answer is to increase stability, comfort, and performance with SaddleDonut-Pro technology.

FUN FACTS

What is a saddle sore?

What is a saddle sore?

First,  what is a saddle sore? Well, there are two types: One is chafing-related saddle sores, which develop from the repeated rubbing of the skin against the chamois in your cycling shorts. Two, you get spots or boils which are actually bacterial skin infections that develop from concentrated pressure and related reduced circulation. While you should invest in good cycling shorts with good padding technology, you must address the root cause of the problem. Eliminate micro-sliding on the saddle, which causes chafing, and enlarge the contact area with the saddle to eliminate concentrated pressure on your butt.
